SUIGENKYO KYOTO
A Global Brand Connecting Japanese Craftsmanship to the World
The roots of Suigenkyo lie in Kyoto, the thousand-year heart of Japan.
Long revered as the epicenter of Japanese beauty, Kyoto has fostered countless national treasures and traditional crafts
—a city where the pride and techniques of master artisans still breathe today.
Our story started by uncovering the “passion of the artisans” hidden throughout Japan.
We watched them converse with the seasons, the humidity, and the raw materials, shaping their own tools just to carve a single perfect curve.
Captivated by this breathtaking handwork, our CEO, Sumii, set forth a distinct vision: to create an ecosystem where everyone
—the makers, the keepers, and the future of craft—finds genuine fulfillment.
With the philosophy of “honoring tradition while pioneering innovation,” we launched our journey to the world.
We share the heartbeat of these artisans globally through social media.
Driven by the trust inspired by our cinematic storytelling, we have built an unmatched platform blending e-commerce with professional spatial design.
Now, Suigenkyo is actively shaping a new era as a global brand representing the timeless soul of Japanese crafts.
Mission
We want to embrace Japanese traditional craft, uplifting independent craftspeople by creating a platform
where their work can be shared beyond its usual reach.
Vision
Our vision for the future of Suigenkyo is for it to be an advocate
for Japanese traditional craftspeople and their work.
